Female Trouble v. Salisbury Roller Girls/CCRG All Stars v. Nashville Rollergirls

On Saturday, May 12, the interleague season kicks into high gear as Female Trouble makes its 2012 debut with a showdown against a burgeoning Maryland league, the Salisbury Roller Girls.  Female Trouble is primed for a winning season due to their extensive roster of utilitarian players and long-time veterans.  However, the upstarts from the heart of the Eastern Shore are looking to make their mark on the national roller derby stage by giving Female Trouble a fight to the finish.

Immediately following, the nationally ranked CCRG All Stars (#3 WFTDA EAST) will work to expand their winning streak by facing off against the Music City All Stars of the Nashville Rollergirls (#3 WFTDA S. CENTRAL).  Nashville may prove to be CCRG’s most evenly matched challengers to date.  Both teams have consistently held their current regional rankings for the past six quarters and both squads fought their way to the WFTDA Championships in 2010 and 2011.  Clearly, the win/loss factor on this matchup could prove to be a turning point for either team as we rapidly approach the playoff season.

All of the action takes place in Canton at the Clarence “Du” Burns Arena, 1301 S. Ellwood Avenue.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the first whistle is at 6:30 p.m. with the second bout starting at approximately 8:00 p.m.  This event is family friendly and wheelchair accessible.

Child admission; general admission; and VIP tickets, which include priority seating and a gift bag, are available.  Street parking is plentiful and paid parking lots are within walking distance of the venue.
